NES Global is a leading, professional and technical recruitment company that offers a range of value added services to jobseekers worldwide. Take a look at the Career Management section of this web site to read through some invaluable career advice for workers at any career stage.
For jobseekers that are mobilised on to international assignments, NES Global offers a range of additional services including:
PRE-MOBILISATION SUPPORT
Recruitment: NES recruiters are fully trained in the latest methods of direct and indirect sourcing, utilising NES’s real-time, integrated database system, Bond Adapt, as well as using the Internet as a recruiting medium. NES’s screening and recruiting process adheres to strict quality procedures and complies with the international quality standard ISO 9001:2000.
Group interviews: NES Overseas regularly conducts group interview sessions for projects. These are usually undertaken when a client needs to employ large numbers of engineers for their projects. NES will pre-vet and shortlist candidates as well as coordinate the logistics for candidates to attend interview locations. NES will also arrange for the preparation of the interview facilities.
Visa: In the majority of mobilisations NES manage the process of obtaining the necessary visas and work permits. In a number of countries, the candidate’s visas are actually sponsored by NES, and the entire process is completed by NES. In other cases the visa process is managed on behalf of the Client, but the candidate works under the Client’s sponsorship.
Tax advice: NES Overseas offers managed taxation solutions to their expatriate contract personnel prior to mobilisation. An overview of the in-country tax regime and taxation equalisation status can be obtained prior to sending expatriate contract personnel to a particular country.
Country orientation: NES advises each contractor on what they need to do prior to mobilisation, what potential challenges they may encounter and how they should manage these situations. This results in a smoother mobilisation process for clients, as candidates should arrive with an awareness of local culture and practice.
Risk assessment: In an increasingly complex and hostile world NES Overseas can assist in the identification of threats to people and assets and implement mitigation solutions to ensure increased operating confidence and project continuity.
Pre-employment medicals / drug tests: Where required NES will arrange for a full medical examination for each contractor prior to mobilisation, including any necessary drug tests.
Mobilisation travel logistics: NES has the facility to arrange flights, mobilisation and demobilisation if required, thus taking the burden from the client and contractor. These costs can be reimbursable by the client or can be incorporated into the day rate if specified.
ASSIGNMENT SUPPORT
International medical coverage: NES has corporate agreements in place with BUPA and CNA Insurance Company Limited for Europe, Middle East, Asia, Africa and Blue Cross for the USA. These schemes provide sub-contractors with cover for in-patient and outpatient treatment, associated prescription medication, home nursing, emergency dentistry and optical treatment.
For those contractors covered by Blue Cross medical insurance whilst working in the USA, depending on location, Blue Cross offers a PPO open choice plan including vision services.
Emergency repatriation and evacuation cover: NES Overseas provides global emergency evacuation and repatriation cover through International Medical Rescue. Emergency Assistance is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year via multilingual coordinators.
Host country tax registration and administration: During the lifecycle of projects, NES can facilitate the handling of the in-country and point of origin tax affairs of the NES contract staff either directly or through a third party.
Payroll: NES has the capability to provide payroll services in all locations where an NES corporate office or an NES affiliate is present.
Tax planning: NES has corporate agreements in place with International Tax consultants across the world to advise on in-country tax planning on behalf of contract staff.
Accommodation: Within turnkey contracts NES can secure furnished accommodation as per client specifications that can either be billed direct to the client, or included in the candidate’s hourly/daily rate.
Transportation: NES can arrange for in-country transportation as per client specifications and either bill the client directly or include this in the candidate’s hourly/daily rate.
Meet and Greet: On specific turnkey projects NES offer a “Meet and Greet” service. If applicable, NES will arrange through a regional office or local agency for each contractor to be met at the arrival hall and be transported directly and safely to their accommodation, thus removing the burden from the client and contractor.
On assignment travel logistics: NES can arrange R&R flights and business travel for contractors whilst on assignment.
